Last weekend was the Toronto Outdoor Art Show at the City Hall in downtown Toronto. What a gorgeous weekend to appreciate some incredible art. There were many artists that I really liked but these were some of my favorite.
Enjoy.
Karen Cantello has a special way with cows ..... big cows with big beautiful eyes. Maybe it's because I'm a Taurus that I'm so attracted to these wonderful gentle creatures.
Visit Karen's website and
see some of her pastoral friends.
I was so drawn to Sean Galbraith's photography which is primarily architectural in nature. The photos of old derelict buildings were awesome. The way he caught the light, the textures and the beauty of these old buildings
attracted so many people to his booth.
The extremely talented figurative painter of this painting of people on the Toronto Transit System is Celeste Keller. Her portraits of the famous and not so famous people are incredible but I was so drawn to the TTC series. This is exactly how passengers look when they are
riding the subway or buses in Toronto.
Love this artist.
Another absolutely favorite figurative artist as well as a sculptress is Beverley Hawksley. Obviously, I am very partial to the figurative artists but Beverley's art just touched my heart. You know you love something when your heart skips a beat when your eye meets beautiful art like hers.
I have four more artists that tickled my soul and I will feature them in my next post. It was a great day at the 50th anniversary of the Toronto Outdoor Art Show.
